One of the latest additions to our great-value family of timber garden buildings is this contemporary pent garden room with roof extension. This modern looking garden building offers great functionality and practicality as it can be extended outwards with optional roof extensions measuring 2.9 x 3m (8.2 sqm) or 3.5 x 3m (10.0 sqm). As garden buildings go, this could be used as a summer room, storage area or workshop, and when combined with the roof extensions, you could have a covered seating area, an outdoor work space protected from the weather, or even use the covered area as a carport.

Larger than the Ella (6.9 sqm) summer house, the Ella (8.7 sqm) measures under 2.5 m in height. In most parts of the UK, this means you won’t have to seek planning permission (even the extended roof). Do double-check this, however, as specific localities such as conservation areas may have different regulations on planning permission.

Other features it has in common with the Ella (6.9 sqm) include 28mm solid timber walls, which give enough insulation for mild spring and autumn days as well as summer. The flat roof is slightly angled to allow drainage.

Theis pent garden room with roof extension are delivered as a self-assembly kit with clear instructions designed for an easy build. With basic DIY knowledge, you should be able to construct the summer room yourself, even if you go for the optional roof extension.
