“The delivery lorry arrived about eleven o’clock and the driver duly unloaded two very large packages together with a small pallet containing the roofing felt. At eleven thirty my neighbour and I began to investigate these well protected packages. Sorting and identifying the various pieces, which then had to be man-handled to the already prepared base where the cabin was to be constructed. This was some 50 meters from the initial unloading point.

Just after three o’clock that afternoon, two self satisfied men were enjoying a well deserved beverage, something slightly stronger than tea, whilst admiring the 4.5 by 3.5 meter GL Log Cabin which was now completed up to roof purling level and commenting on how easily and virtually trouble free it had gone together. This was no doubt due to the well made components. The roofing boards and doors were added the following day. We had constructed the cabin without the aid of diagrams or instruction sheets, which were overlooked in our haste to get the materials unpacked, they had obviously been discarded with the packaging.

The construction of the cabin was so logical and easy, just like assembling ‘Lego blocks’ only heavier. The only problems encountered were a missing pack of nails/screws and one glass sealed unit in the door was cracked. The rolls of roofing felt had also been crushed and damaged during transit, but GardenLife have offered to reimburse any expenditure involved to replace all of these items. Are we pleased with our purchase and the service received throughout, you bet we are. The quality belies the low price.”

Your service and price were superb and Greg and Craig came at 9am on Tuesday and worked right through until 8pm to build it. They did an excellent job and did not stop all day. “We’re so happy with our summer house, it looks fantastic! I have to say that GardenLife were helpful both before and after the sale – providing advice on size, foundations, timber thickness and timber treatment beforehand, and technical assistance afterwards (whilst we were building the summer house). Delivery was on time and the driver lifted the items over the fence and placed them next to the build area. Unpacking all the pieces took a while, but once we got the base layer sorted out the rest of the summer house walls went together almost like Lego, with window and door frames simply slotting into place, and windows and doors dropping onto hinges. The roof was a little more challenging (three pairs of hands came in handy), but with relatively basic DIY tools (and a few calls to GardenLife) we built the summer houses ourselves, and it looks amazing. We’re really happy with the summer house, as well as the advice and support provided by GardenLife, which was first rate. We’re more than happy to recommend GardenLife Log Cabins to anyone wanting to buy a garden log cabin, and we can’t wait to spend more time in our summer house!”
