Garden corner building (6.8 sqm)

This may be a low-cost 5-sided corner building, but its appearance is decidedly upmarket. This timber summer house is the perfect location for a glass of wine – or something sparkling – with friends on a summer’s evening. With 6.8 sqm of space, there’s plenty of room for chairs and table.

The technical specs too are excellent for the price. The doors and windows are glazed with 4mm glass, and we use laminated wood in the door frames to reduce movement caused by moisture uptake and to reduce warping or swelling. Please note the windows are non-opening.

The timber is 28 mm thick, giving the summer house the insulation and robustness to cope with British weather variations. By using Nordic spruce, which grows more slowly than southern European timber, we ensure greater timber density. This, in turn, increases insulation and strength.

You could finish this garden building with different roofing elements, but we recommend the optional felt shingles for a stylish touch. The roof is practical too, with a 25-degree angle that prevents rain or snow collecting on the shingles – yet another reason why the corner house is ideal for a British garden.
