With 12.4 sqm to 16.4 sqm of floor space and 44mm thick timber, this traditional homestead log cabin is a good-value home office or workshop for either one or two people. If your spare room or sitting room is being invaded by PCs, printers and paperwork, or DIY or craft equipment, this is an agreeable low-budget solution. If you need even more space however, the larger 16.sqm model is the one for you.

The timber thickness limits heat loss, and will help you keep warm even during winter. The dense 44mm timber is also designed for durability – it’s slow-grown Nordic spruce, rather than the faster-growing southern European variety – so it’s stronger and more resistant to the elements.

There is plenty of other weather-proofing too for this traditional homestead log cabin. The foundation beams and decking on the front terrace are pressure-treated, to protect against rot, decay and damp. Storm battens keep the log cabin secure and safe in high winds.

The door and windows are fully double-glazed+, with metal sills. Windows have a tilt-and-turn mechanism, and also have rubber seals to prevent draughts and reduce heat loss. There’s no doubt that this is an exceptionally sturdy log cabin.
