The Ly (13.6 sqm) self build timber office brings some Scandinavian style to your garden – indeed, it looks like a smaller version of an attractive northern European house. It also offers all the attention to detail and high quality with which good Scandinavian design is associated.

This modern timber garden office is a modular contemporary log cabin that would work equally well as a workshop, daytime retreat, or studio. Using our self build Quick Fit system it’s easy to assemble, and constructed from 45 x 70mm framing and 18mm external cladding (but if you’d like the office built for you, get in touch for a construction quote). There’s also the option to purchase an 18mm internal cladding kit, or to clad the interior yourself, using plasterboard. The space between exterior and interior cladding is very straightforward to insulate.

This contemporary garden office is intended to be used all year-round – which is why we make it so easy to insulate. We’ve also put in double glazing – so there’s no need for energy or heat to escape through the large three-panel windows and the door. There’re there to let light flow in, not warmth flow out.

Please note that the building is delivered untreated (the pictures above are for illustration purposes only). We’ve seen a range of paint choices on the Ly (13.6 sqm), with some beautiful results – from greens that blend into the garden foliage, to more daring Impressionist or Fauvist.
