Iris (11.1 sqm) is a log cabin summer house for all gardens and all seasons. The simple and classic proportions provide a blank canvas for many different styles: stripped back Nordic simplicity; 1950s pastels with bunting and retro prints; sleek 1980s minimalism; or a boho mix of rugs and souvenirs brought back from your travels. The wood is untreated so you can use clear varnish to keep the simple appearance, or use coloured stain or paint for a bolder look.

With 44mm thick timber and double glazing, this is a garden building designed to use all year round. With rugs and a heater, it makes a very affordable garden office, games room or workroom – far cheaper than building an extension. Light can stream in the windows and glass doors, so it would also be a good space for an art or craft studio.

The internal dimensions of this timber log cabin summer house are 390 x 300cm – that’s a decent amount of space for storage, desk or comfortable chairs. The doors are front-opening so they don’t eat into the interior space. The highest point of the roof is 245cm – in most areas, this means you won’t need to apply for planning permission (though you should always check your local planning regulations).
